A European Inspired Wedding Editorial - Niagara Region, Ontario

Most would agree that it is quite easy to have an affinity for Europe; its culture, way of life, history and architecture make it incredibly easy to love.  For Junilo and I, Europe holds special meaning to us as it was our home for eight years.  Our photography style and inspiration is often drawn from our experience and years living there.

We were incredibly inspired when we visited this private residence in the Niagara region to discover the family’s love of both old and new Europe.  Everything boasted European style, from the wood shutters to the design of a grand family room.  Thought was put into even the books in the bookcase, boasting European classics from Cervante’s Don Quijote to the Honoré de Balzac’s famous Père Goriot.  It is the perfect setting to create.

We were honoured to produce an editorial with several other wedding creatives from both the Niagara and Toronto areas.  Gina Humilde Events, translated the ideas and inspiration into a fashionable European ‘country home’ affair. She subtly styled rich velvet with both cool winter blues and dusty tones to reflect the time of year.  Well thought out details of Mediterranean foods, such as figs, rosemary, cheeses and charcuterie were incorporated into the tablescape.  The central theme was woven through down to the smallest of details.

Both models wore bridal wear which was very reflective of current European trends.  We focused on their accessories while keeping the bridal wear simple and elegant.  Thought was given to silhouettes and clean lines to reflect European wedding attire fashion.

We hope this will inspire Canadian brides and grooms who share an enthusiasm for a bit of Europe right here at home :)
